I am depressed about not having Kids?

Question

I am & my parents are depressed that I am not having kids.
I want to have children soooo badly but the time has not yet arrived.

My age: late 20s female

You could always consider adoption.

Be patient. There are so many ways to have children as part of your life whether you are waiting for Mr.Right, your body to concieve, adoption papers to be finalized or whatever. Make an effort to volunteer and help out the children around you. Look into helping out at a shelter, a daycare center, or becoming a "Big Sister". If you don't have time for that, you probly don't have time to be a parent just yet either. (Not intending on being rude, but kids will take up more time than many new parents are prepared to give up at first).

I have had 3 grandchildren visiting for the last 6 weeks without their parents. Please don't be depressed because you don't have any. I can lend you a 5 year old and a 15 year old that will make you never want to look at a child again. She takes temper tantrums and screams and cries so loud that she could break the sound barrier, but she looks like and angel.

The five year old is a demon in disquise and the 15 year old is the biggest liar and sleeze that I have ever met

I'm depressed and I'm not normally the type to get depressed. I never want to have another child in my house.

Oh darling... dont rush it. I am depressed, not that I have kids, but that I am too tied down to just up and go and do what I want, like when I was younger.

Enjoy your youth. Make yourself an interesting person, with lots of hobbies, and dont worry- when the time is right, it will present itself, and you will know it.

Well, I guess you could go volunteer somewhere, and start getting out more. It does take 2 to tango, if you catch my drift. The best way to meet "the one" is to actually go out and deal with all the "ones" that are SOOOOO not it.. lol...

All good things come in due time. I don't know if you believe in GOD. But when he feels that you are ready for children, He will put them in your life. Until then, you just have to be patient. I have twin boys and they can drive me up the wall at times. Especially whne their mother makes false promises and doesn't show up. My sons get mad at me. But thats a whole 'nother story. You don't want kids. Kids are noisy, expensive, unhygenic objects that need 20 hour a day care.

Plus the world is overcrowded, you will be doing it a favour by not having kids.

Remember- you don't HAVE to have kids.

You have to come to the realization that you don't have to get pregnant to be a parent.
My daughter is adopted and she is as much mine as any child that I could have given birth to. There are many many children out there wanting parents as much as you want children.

first do you have a partner to have them with. Second have you been checked by a doctor to see if you are able. if you really want a baby and you feel you can handle the money and time it requires then have one. If you have other priorities that are more important than having kids then wait, your time will come.

Talk to your partner, and say you feel like you are ready for the next step. If you don't have a partner, and you're willing to raise a child on your own, then get artificially inseminated. A co-worker of mine did, and she is so happy!

Kids are evil. Get a dog. Much, much cuter. Plus dogs listen to whatever you say and never talk back!
