In the midst of all the noise, conflict, talking, talking, talking and busy-ness of the world, I find these words comforting and restorative:

Be still, and know that I am God. Ps. 46: 10

Mary G,
I have a lot of favorite bible verses. But this question comes up a lot so I get to tell about another one!

Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

I faithed on these verses before at a time when I was going through the whole Bible. He fulfilled His word. I didn't ask for it, but He knows our hearts. I woke up one day and could play lead guitar like I never before could. It might not sound like much to you, but to someone who plays and has played for so many years without good results, it was yet another reason that I can think back and remember how much He loves me.

Even though I am a sinner, Christ died for me.

The Gospel according to St. Matthew, chapter 28 verse 19:

""Go therefore & make disciples of all the nations, Baptizing in the Name Of the Father, & Of the Son, & Of the Holy Spirit,"

I love this verse because it mentions all 3 Persons of the Blessed Trinity.

John 14:12-14, Verily, verily, I say unto you the works that I do shall you also do, and greater works than these shall ye do because I go unto the Father. I like this verse because it shows me the true potential and identity we have in Christ, to be just like He was in the earth.

Oh my, there are sooooooo many, but I'll pick one:

Proverbs 2:21,22 - "The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it."

I can hardly wait for that promise to come true, then the earth will be a true paradise!

Jesus Wept.
-John 11:35

I like this verse because it reminds me that Jesus knew what it was like to feel pain, and therefore when I hurt he really knows how hard it feels.
He was human and felt like me at times when I feel I'm at my lowest.

Revelation 16:4 "And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood."

I'm looking forward to that.
