What exactly do you mean follow the old testament? Are you talking about the specific laws? Nobody follows all the laws set down in the old testament to the full. If you are asking does anyone believe in the old testament then yes many people still believe that what is says is an actual written historical account. You can not truly follow the new testament and ignore the old since much of what is written in the NT requires an knowledge of the old for understanding. As far as the 7 days creation time, I think people are not really understanding that the Earth already existed before the 7 days of creation. The 7 days was simply the period of time from giving the Earth light, inhabiting the planet and God resting.

The commands in the Bible about wearing certian mixed fabrics, eating shellfish, etc. are things that were Old Testament (Mosaic) laws that don't apply to us today.
One of the profound emphases of the New Testament, especially the epistles of Paul, is that Christians are no longer under the rule of the Mosaic law. This truth is stated in no uncertain terms and in various ways (see Rom. 6:14; 7:1-14; Gal. 3:10-13, 24-25; 4:21; 5:1, 13; 2 Cor. 3:7-18), The part of the Mosaic Law (the moral commands, not the ceremonial) are still in force for the Christian (these laws are even reinforced and expanded upon by Jesus in the New Testament- example- Matthew 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."). In regard to the relation of Christian ethics to the Mosaic Law:
There are Christian teachers of repute who consider the Mosaic law to be the present-day rule of life for the Christian. Although we are not saved by the law, once we have been justified by faith, then the Mosaic law becomes our rule of life. There is a sharp division of the Mosaic law into two parts, which are distinguished as the moral and the ceremonial. The ceremonial portion has found its fulfillment in Christ at His first advent, and has now passed away. But the moral portion of the Mosaic law is still in force as the believer’s rule of life.

Dearest writer,
The Old Testament is often called "the old law," because Christ came and His words and actions became the New Testament. He (and his apostles through instruction by the Holy Spirit) laid aside ritualist laws of washing, food restrictions, ect. that the Jewish people lived by. Jesus was trying to teach us that his commandments were more important than what we do ritualistically with our body.
The Jewish people still honor the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament, and they are still looking for their Messiah which was written about and predicted there also.
The Sabbath, the seventh day was actually and still is, sundown Friday nite until Sundown Sat. nite, which the Jews and the Seventh Day Adventists honor. Genesis gives us God's time table of creating the world in seven days, and He reinforces that in the Ten Commandments in Exodus, to give us guidance to live. Even God needed to rest, and we do too. Our modern society has now chosen the first day of the week, Sunday, but unlike the rules of the Old Testament, I believe God will give us grace for honoring one day of the week, even if it's not the original one from the Old Testament.
Thanks for asking and I hope that helped.
God Bless,
Darcel

Even hasidic Jews can't follow all the rules of the old testament any more, simply because some of the things in it have disappeared. However, the picking and choosing of rules that some people do is just not christian, but secular.

I agree with you. Why would the Father have all of the most influential prophets in the old testament just thrown to the wind, it does not sound right to me either. Jesus (Yashua) always spoke of the things in the old testament. He did not says don't follow it, he came to fulfill it. I read and listen to it all.

The Old Testament is to be used for teaching purposes not to go by. Read your bible and it will tell you why, its just that simple. When God died he layed out the law in the New Testament. So that is why we go by it not the Old Testament.

I follow the entire Bible. It is the Truth from the beginning, to the end. There are no lost books in my KJV Bible. It is complete. People need to reread the Bible, not rewrite it.

The whold old testament existed as preparation for the "Christ"
When he came, the old testament became obsolete, replaced by the "new" testament, or, in biblical terms, "new covenant".
Those archaic laws-- about bleeding your meat, or allowing multiple wives, or animal sacrifice--became null when the lamb appeared.
