Actually doing that can cause super freaky deformities, like two heads, mental instabilities, five legs, three legs, two tails . . . you get the point. Usually all of the deformed ones don't make it very long. Anyway, if you are wanting more cats, you should get your's fixed and then go to your local animal shelter and adopt. There are many beautiful animals in need of good homes out there.

No, it is not. In fact, it isn't okay to breed any cats at all- just go to your local shelter or rescue and see that they are over run with cats and kittens.

What would be a wonderful thing for you to do is to take your cats to the vet and have them fixed. They will live longer, have less chance of some illnesses, and not contribute to the probablem of too many unwanted cats in the U.S.

I have 2 siamese cats male and female, they are brothers and sisters and I got them when they were 6 weeks old, they both came in heat at the same time. My husband and I were moving at the time and it was really hard to keep them apart, we knew it would not be good for they to mate because of the fact that they are siblings, anyway, we put our male cat in a cage, and let her run loose in the house, were so busy moving, anyway that nights he managed to get out of the cage and it happened! when we got to our new house i started to notice that my female cat was acting weird, so i started to read about her symtoms and noticed she was pregnant, 64 days later she gave birth to 5 healthy kitties, they were all so cute and only one of them seemed to be a little bit slow but they grew up to be beautiful kitties. I got him neutered while she was pregnant and i got her spayed 2 months after she had her babies. The vet told me that cats are very fertile animals and that in the wild it happens all the time that they mate with their own family BUT if you can prevent that from happening it is much better.

It happens. Problems may arise in the progeny, such as kinks on the tail, or having a disproportionately small head, or other health risks. I'd not recommend it -- unless you're breeding a beautiful champion and trying to preserve the lineage.

It does happen, but to deliberately do so? NO NO NO NO NO!! That is what is known as INBREEDING, and there are definite reasons NOT to do it.

If you had a brother and sister mate with accidental pregnancy, and it's really early, I would suggest spaying and taking care of it all -- not to mention neutering the little boy!!!

Um - NO! It's called inbreeding. That would be like asking if it was okay for you to conceive a child with your sister/brother. Now that I've put it in that perspective, it's also just wrong on so many levels...the kittens would be suseptible to disease, perhaps disfiguration...it could even result in death.

I don't think anyone posting on this board would know enough about their cats bloodlines and genetics to do it well. I say no, too big a risk of negative traits from not knowing the blood lines well enough.

It probably is fine. I know you can with dogs and not have a problem. Cats should be the same way. But, I'm not absolutely positive.
