When you start a new weight loss regime, you might drop pounds quickly during the first two weeks. Much of that is water. However, after that, 2 pounds a week is considered a healthy rate.

Listen...12 hours of exercise a day is not healthy - if it's possible ! I'm on a diet and I've been on it for about a week... I still don't see any results but i feel way healthier than I use to (drink 3 cans of coke a day) i switched it to water... exercise 3 times a week or run 1 mile a day .. i think it's healthies to lose 1-3 pounds a week.. no more ! ... you didn't gain all the weight in a week... you won't lose it all in a week

HOW in heaven's name are you managing to work out 12 hours a day. Obsessive anything is not good. If you are doing all you say you're doing, it is not unhealthy physically. The problem is that when you slow down or stop... that would be the unhealthy yoyo part that is not recommended. Sounds like you're getting into good shape. Find an outfit that you want to look good in, not necessarily watch the pounds, which could be deceiving... muscle is heavier than fat. Make a plan to taper down so you can maintain the fruits of all your hard work when school starts. Do you take a vitamin supplement? That is important, too.
Peace.

losing weight too fast can cause your body to go into a minor 'shock' state. Also if you are a larger person your skin will not have time to shrink and you will be left with lose skin. its recomended you lose anywhere between 1-3 +/- lbs a week.

Weight comming back is from people who go on starvation diets to lose the desired weight, then once they slide into their 'skinny outfit' or what ever the ocasion, forget to workout and eat healthy.

i know you want to look good for school, but lose weight the proper way with good diet and exercise, then keep up the 'new you' through out the year, all the other girls will hate you ;)

Losing that much weight a week is definitely not healthy. My doctor told me to lose like 5 pounds in 3 months time. But anyway, what do you do? I want to lose that much weight too in a weeeeeeeeeeeeeek... Yea, if you lose weight fast, u will get it back fast too.

Absolutly but i'm positive you don't need to work out 12 hours a day however it depends also on how much you weigh now so please take a look in the mirror first and imagine what ten pounds will take away, remember you don't choose where the wieght comes off.

12 hrs a day? That's dangerous. If you're worried about gaining it back because of speed slow down...

I answered this a few minutes ago. Please stop reposting it. It is not healthy, you can not be exercising 12 hours a day, if it is real exercise.
