a brain aneurism is when an artery in the brain has a weakened wall - and thus balloons out and eventually bursts, causing stroke and/or death. Generally aneurisms are symptom-less...many times a person does not know when they are at risk for having one. However, certain conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes increase your risk. Aneurisms can happen in any artery, not just in the brain. It is most severe when it occurs in a large artery as a lot of blood is lost by the time the patient notices any symptoms. All in all, they are pretty rare though.

from Wikipedia:
An aneurysm (or aneurism) is a localized dilation or ballooning of a blood vessel by more than 50% of the diameter of the vessel and can lead to instant death at anytime. Aneurysms most commonly occur in arteries at the base of the brain (the circle of Willis) and in the aorta (the main artery coming out of the heart) - this is an aortic aneurysm. This bulge in a blood vessel, much like a bulge on an over-inflated innertube, can lead to death at anytime. The larger an aneurysm becomes, the more likely it is to burst.

Historically, the treatment of arterial aneurysms has been surgical intervention, or watchful waiting in combination with control of blood pressure. Recently, endovascular or minimally invasive techniques have been developed for many types of aneurysms.

certain wide-necked and inaccessible aneurysms currently still require surgical intervention, even though new methods (that use a type of stent) are already being studied and tested. Surgery is also usually required for venous aneurysms as introducing foreign material in the low flow veins can produce a high risk blood clotting environment.

It is a weakness in a blood vessel. We can get aneurisms anywhere in the body, but ones in the brain can be deadly. An aneurism, b/c it is like a weak area in a garden hose (crude analogy, I know), can bulge, and eventually rupture.
If doctors know that a person has an aneurism, there are certain things that can be done. Keeping the blood pressure low helps, and avoiding strenuous activity. I know with aneurisms in other parts of the body, surgery can often be done to remove the weak section of blood vessel. In the brain, perhaps they can do the same if it is in an accessible spot.

An aneruism is a blod clot in an artery. It can be in the brain or more commonly the leg which is usually called a thrombosis. Aneruisms, however can cause severe headaches and cause everything to look pink. It can cause sudden death, however when it breaks. An MRI should show the clot, and hopefully can be removed if it's caught in time. Also, blood thinners may help to break it up.

It's a dialated blood vessel in the brain. It can worsen by enlarging and the larger it is, the worse it is and the more likely it can rupture. It can cause sudden death by rupturing and bleeding into the brain. Depending on where it is, it can be fixed sometimes or have a clip put in it by an interventional radiologist.

Brain aneurysm is dilatation of blood vessels [arteries] in the brain it could worsen by more dilation and causing pressure effect on the neighboring brain tissue it may cause some disabilities , it may leak causing some disabilities due to increase intracranial tension , sudden death may happen if it rupture. Nowadays interventional procedure simply by catheterizing .

occassionally can burst and cause internal bleeding (bad) best caught early and if brain aneurysm have Neurosurgeon exam and reccomend course of action
