You can take the cat to the vet and see if there is anything wrong - they might run some blood work. Providing nothing is wrong with your cat the thing that might be wrong is that your cat has a sensitive digestive track and needs special food. You might try getting some vet recommended special food for your cat - that is all natural and perhaps made for cats with digestive problems.

You look to a better food that does not make her puke. Wouldn't you be alert to what you were eating if you threw up all the time?

She may be allergic to the corn or protein source in her current food. You must pay more and go to a small pet store and buy a premium food with only ONE protein source and NO corn. CA Natural makes a chicken and rice. Natural Balance makes a venison and pea. NB also makes a chicken and rice and a duck and rice.

You must switch foods slowly. Mix in a large plastic container:
3/4 or old to 1/4 of new and feed that for a week. Then make a mixture of 1/2 old to 1/2 new and feed that for another week. Then make the mixture 3/4 of the new with 1/4 of the old and use that for another week. In three weeks time she will be totally on the new food. Hopefully she will stop throwing up before that time and don't give up on it.

She maybe so hungry from a hairballthat she gulps down her food. Go to your vet and or pet store and get petromalt or what the vet has to help her pass the hairball. If that doesn't work, feed only wet food for at least a week and a half. Reintroduce dry food in very small amounts. If the vomiting begins again, discontinue the dry food or try another brand. I have on cat that is allergic to a particular dry food and will throw it back up every time.

our 1 kitten did that when it was little. It had a hard time with chunks of food, and was sooo hungry, it may have swallowed the food whole.

Remedy: put some dry food in a small dish, add some water. It'll help the kitty so there won't be such big chunks for it to eat. Only use a little at a time, so how it works.

Good luck!

Take her to the vet. Did you recently change her food? Most vets recommend finding a food good for your cat (and they like it) and sticking with it for a long time before switching foods.

She might also have a hairball that should be coming up soon.

In any case, take her to the vet.

Clean it up. My cat tosses his chow every now and then, too. Usually it's because he has eaten it too quickly and gulped it down. If your cat does it a lot, you should do as the other answerer said and take her to the vet. I've only seen my cat do that three times in the last year.

i hope this is a full grown cat, my cat does the same thing when she is upset, i.e. when we argue in front of her, i know some people think that an animal doesn't care but they do! other problems can be teeth, our 4 year old has had 5 teeth extracted already (not cheap) -but not the one who gets sick. i think she is sensitive to her surroundings-smell her mouth, you'll know if there is a problem,GOOD LUCK , a good vet is a good friend!!!!!!!!

It could have been a hairball. If it happens everytime she eats speak to the vet it may be some sort of illness or perhaps you jsut need to change her food.
