be yourself and don't "put out"

Jessica,

I'm 22 and I still have memories of what happened in 6th grade. I'm not saying be careful or be shy or be whatever - all I'm saying is, please understand that your actions and inactions at your stage of your life will be with you forever.

The things you do TODAY are affecting the way you will live and who you will be not only tommorow - but all the way until you die.

It's a lesson you don't learn until past college and you start working every day, for the rest of your life. As a child, a person feels invincible and like the "young days" will never end.

Enjoy your life. Don't forget that everything you're going to be put up to in the next 5-10 years will shape the very core of your person. Don't listen to what others say: make yourself instead.

Grade 6 is a great time. You need to relax.
Stick with your close friends and don't get caught
up in the things that are not positive. You be
true to who you are. Check the activities you
enjoy, like sports, music, arts etc. Excell in
applying your best effort.

I'm going to the 6th grade too. This lady told me just to keep it cool and be nice, so you won't get bullied by someone so be nice to them but if you have to be mean go for it. Look nice, be smart, and respect everyone even if they aren't cool or too much of a loser. We're all humans so we should give each other respect.

One word to remember - balance! Divide your time and efforts between academics, social activity, physical fitness, and spirituality and you're not as likely to get stressed out about school, feel lonely, develop a poor self-image, or lose hope in your future. Trust me. It works!
