Ok, what I would do, is tell him nicely "I'm sorry (name) I think you're a great person and all, but I'm ready to see new people, and I think you should to."

Tell him the same way you told him that you were interested in him... just stop flirting with him. You can still be nice to him etc, just discontinue the flirting!

I best thing is to be honest. Just make it casual though. Don't like sit him down and talk.....no just mention it casually that you are just friends or that you don't want any type of relationship...

you are better to just make other arrangements with your friends & family & see less & less of him. so bit by bit you slip away. that way you wont have to outwardly hurt him.
