I'm going to be using public transportations. But I heard Korean subways stop oprerating after 1am. Can I easily get a taxi at 2 or 3 a clock in the morning? My sister was in Korea couple years ago and she said it sometimes was hard b/c many people try to catch a taxi during that time too.

Thank you!

I have another question. Do I need to make a reservations to a hotel? I'll be staying at my relative's house the first night but I want to stay at a hotel, motel, inn...doesn't matter..
People told me i don't need to make a reservations b/c there are lots of hotels and motels you can go to . And can you guys tell me how much it will cost ...not an expensive hotel but moderate place..

Ok, depending on where in Seoul/Daegu you are, depends on the availability of taxi's. However, there are taxi's everywhere, and as frustrating as it can be at night, there will be one to take you where you want to go.

Subway usually finishes at 12 on the weekend and public holidays, which can be a hassle. However they start up again at 5 so you can always sleep in an internet cafe, or sauna.
Sauna's are very very cheap, usually around $7US a night, and they dont have separate rooms, but you can sleep anywhere. Very very convenient.

If you are wanting to stay in a HOTEL hotel, then it pays to make a reservation, but I wouldnt bother, because they are too expensive. Motels and Yogwans are everywhere too. There are love motels too, but actually most of them are pretty well soundproofed, and cost upwards from $20.
There are also guesthouses in downtown Seoul for around $12 a night.
Accomodation is plentiful, I have never had problems finding somewhere to sleep.

Sometimes on the weekends, buses will run a little later than the subways. How much later im not sure, I prefer to be kicked off the subway somewhere reliable, than end up in Kyonggido after falling asleep on a bus.

Buses to Daegu from Seoul (trains too...) run all through the night. Usually around $15?
Hope this is of some help to you.
It's still warm, so you don't need to worry about freezing if you are caught in the middle of nowhere.
