by nature and manner of being she is a noxious whore; she is a prostitute, the Devil's appointed whore; whore eaten by scab and leprosy who ought to be trodden under foot and destroyed, she and her wisdom ... Throw dung in her face to make her ugly. She is and she ought to be drowned in baptism... She would deserve, the wretch, to be banished to the filthiest place in the house, to the closets."

Ah, the rantings of an unreasonable dictator. Heaven forbid we should question what the preacher tells us, and look at the bible with a reasonable mind!

Pretty much people can choose reason or faith. But logic is only justified by logic, so it begs its own question, so when someone says "Why not use logic?" you say "Because that's unreasonable" and they say "So what?" your only response is "Being unreasonable is bad" or some other moral judgement.

Don't get me wrong, I hate it when people are unreasonable. But part of why I'm agnostic is because there are things that you just can't prove without being meaningless. The existence of god isn't true or false: it's unverifiable, like a paradox.

What kind of bible are you reading out of? Try reading a King James Bible. I think you will find it better to read.
