Your older cousin has serious issues within her.
She's unhappy with her life, and can't stand people around her being happy.

You're still your usual self, so you do not have to change anything to accomodate her. You're doing things to make yourself happy.
Whereas, she's clueless what to do to make herself happy.

Even if you don't go clubbing & hit bars, she'll still be unhappy.
Because she is simply going through some kind of depression.
However, be sensitive & supportive to her for the benefit of her & yourself.

If she likes clubbing & hitting bars or thought so it's fun, let her join you then to see for herself. She may like it & eventually have her own life. Or she doesn't like it all, and there's nothing else for her to be jealous about.

She envys you for being so chilled out, and she wish to chill out too. Help her see that it's a matter of time for marriage (again) & kids. She should lead a happier better life than before. It will make her more attractive to lure suitors. Rather than sulk all day & scare men away.

If you think you can't handle the stress of "handling her" & affecting you tremendously, then leave her alone for awhile and/or to someone credible to help her along.

Your cousin is miserable...plain and simple. Don't boot her out of your life yet, though. Just be sure to keep your distance from negative energy like that, unless she comes to you with sincerity and openess, a willingness to discuss why she is so jealous of you. I know about the importance of family, and how sometimes the weed of jealousy can break people up, but with open honesty and no sarcasm, things can work itself out.

Well your feelings that she is jealous may be mis-conscrued...she might be feeling something other than jealousy. Have you tried talking to her? If you have, and you still find her "distracting" in your life...just move on..she's your cousin..not your sister..I wouldn't worry about it. Seems you should be able to embrace one another's differences without "distraction"...which I'm not sure quite what you mean ..but if not...move on...perhaps she wants to (or will) as well.

I think you may be overstatiing things, but anyway try and encourage her to get involved with life. Why anyone wouldbe jealous of a teen or twentysomething is beyond me! Really dear, you have yet to live at all!

first of all why don't you sit her up with some one to get rid of her then maybe she might hit it up with him and be out of your hare. Wait she's 30 she can go to a club herself can she not? she is old enought to make her own choice and she should be out with people her own age. Haven't you ever told her how you feal? i tell my cousin how i feal when she crowds my space.
