Sure, they won't let you take a bottle of water, but they are gonna let you carry on a cannon. Yeah.

Given that the carry-on weight limit is typically 40 lbs., probably not. They don't enforce that too rigidly, but when you show up with a 1,000 lb cannon they're going to draw the line.

The excess weight charge as checked baggage will be somewhere around the national debt of Biafra. Ship it ground freight.

Smaller cannons were used to bust up fortifications, houses, ships, diverse cannons, calvary expenditures and provide wagons. A musket grew to grow to be into good for hitting targets at 100 yards. The smallest cannon the Confederates had might want to opt to hit some ingredient at 800 yards. the more effective efficient ones might want to opt to hit targets at over 5,000 yards away yet the position plenty more effective good to carry to the conflict on the offensive section.

Call United Parcel Service ship it. Get a firearm confiscated at the airport lately? Even an old one? not worth the television coverage you plan to call the TV station when you place a cannon to be X-Rayed on the belt did'nt you?

Hmmm, once I brought a Deuce Five cavalry rifle in my carry on but of course, it had to be declared and kept unloaded in a regulation case during the flight. I love my civil war memorabilia.

Yes, you can bring the cannon on board, but no powder and shot. That would be dangerous.

Seriously though, dont you think its a bit bloody heavy for hand luggage?!

you can try..as efficency of air port security if legendry you might be able to take it as carry on but in the middle of the flight if they find out there would be quite some drama as in special forces sorrounding the plane and checking all the luggage for explosives and stuff..:)

I think you might want to consider different traveling plans for your cannon

You should have no problem. I once brought a Howitzer with me. I had to take the wheels off to fit it through the door, though.
