Being a kleptomaniac is not a sin.
Stealing is.
Being a pathological liar is not a sin.
Telling lies is.
Being a nymphomaniac is not a sin.
Fornication...that is, sex outside of marriage...is.
Being beautiful is not a sin.
Pride is.
Being ambitious is not a sin.
Greed is.
Being careful about money is not a sin.
Selfishness is.
Being gay is not a sin.
Having sexual relations with a member of the same sex is.
Because we are human, we are infected with all of these things. Everyone has their particular cross to bear...from eating disorders to drug addiction, from sexual disorders to uncontrollable rage. The thing is to recognize that you are a sinner, and ask God to help you to overcome the sin in your life. He will.....

Then half of the male ducks are bound for hell as they are homosexual, and many other animals too...Sexual Orientation is not a Biblical issue. Homosexuality has been with man since the begin...tribes in the Amazon have gays, so did the noble Red Indians of America, the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Japanese, etc. It is the stupidity of the church to declare it a sin...but then the clergy, priests, bishops and even one cardinal that visited Vietnam are headed to purgatory....It is normal human sexuality. The real issue is that many gays feel bound to force their sexuality on to the public...wearing jock straps in parade, kissing in public...that repels others...but a couple kissing or dressing inappropriately would repel others too.

No, but it is a convenient excuse for christians to be bigots, such as Rev. Fred Phelps or others who might PRETEND to have an interest in saving gays.
You might as well call being tall a sin or having blue eyes a sin. I've heard lots of christians say hurtful things about gays, but then I've also heard them say bad things about Asians and black people.

it depends on what doctrine you draw from. because the term "sin" is typically christian i will per sue that path. the answer is yes. the bible says it is a sin. however if you are gay then it would also be a sin to not be gay. homosexuality is a part of who you truly are and unlike a career or other things you might consider to associate yourself with it is a choice, making it part of your absolute identity. since we are told to love our neighbors as ourselves, the to hate our self is implicitly wrong. since we are made in the image of god and are told to embrace that image, it is a sin to deny our identity. this is very confusing and is one of the great paradoxes of christian doctrine. if you are looking to determine a position on yourself, be who you are. love is the only truth when all else fails. however if you are looking to judge someone, don't. leave judgment to god (he's usually much better at it) but carry his passion, mercy, and love with you always. remember this is probably more confusing and frightening from them than anyone else. also in the past i have seen the most promiscuous of people look down upon the most innocent of homosexuals as morally wrong. don't forget that no human, with the exception of Jesus (and Mary, if you're catholic), are without sin.

Ask a better question. Why are you so worried what other people do? Are you a closet gay? Another question to ask yourself would be why are you so obssessed with worrying what gay men and women do?
Don't you think it is difficult enough having burdens to bear this day and time without adding to the hate that is already in this world? You worry about you and not other people and you might live to be old and gray one day.

Homosexual acts constitute sin; a person can have an inherent bend toward homosexuality but you don't have to act upon it. Just like a woman can be attracted to a man discover he 's married and not pursue the relationship further. It's acting upon the wrong desire that is a sin.

Choosing to commit homosexuality is a sin.
To stop such a lifestyle and refrain from such desires will bring reward.
English Standard Version
1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Well, being gay isn't a sin, having sex with another person of the same sex is. Just like having sex before you are married...

It says it is in the Bible so yes. Not to single that out because there are many sins listed in the Bible but that is one of them. I'm not one to judge people for how they live.
