I've noticed something about Christianity that puts questions in my head, but before I explain I want to make it perfectly clear that this is in NO way slanderizing the Christian religion. This is NOT meant to offend Christianity. Okay, now.

I find it odd that most (not all) Christians give credit to all things good that they have done to God. For example, a family has a roof over their head, thank God. It isn't because they worked their whole lives to make it to where they are today. It is because God provided them with the house.

I know this is a useless question, and will get no one anywhere, but sometimes you need a good conversation topic. So...have at it.

Many years ago my newly built home had no lawn whatsoever - just bare dirt. I laboriously established nice, lush, green grass in the front and back yards. This took a lot of work and a long time. Then one day a preacher from a local church knocked on my door. When I appeared to not be too receptive to what he was saying, he told me that I should be more grateful to God for the things I had. He said, "Just look at your nice, green lawn. You should thank God for that!" I replied, "Well, that may be so, but you should have seen it when God was taking care of it all by himself!"

You are right and wrong. They would have had a roof over their heads regardless if God helped them or not. People work and make money and are able to buy things BUT what you are missing is that they praise God because they are ABLE to have these things rather than having nothing at all. Sometimes when people thank God for what they have it's not because God actually helped them but they are blessed in having those things to begin with. The Bible says "In all things praise the Lord." I hope this helps.

Mankind the most humble of all beings...NEVER in a 100,000,000 years, lol!!!

And I thank God for all things... the roof over my head: the cloths on my back: the food in my stomach: and the love of my family!!

Plus 1 or 2 other minor things like the air that I breath, life, the universe... you know... the usual stuff!!!

And now its time to thank Him for a good day, and get a good nights sleep... Night & God bless..lol xoxox

A bird will live in a tree and get rained on and not complain about it...a human will build an elaborate house, with a three car garage, a new car, and so on...humans are not the most humble, we are the least...

Wow, yeah you can say that most Christians do give a lot of credit to God.

Mainly because we feel powerless in this world and that God makes up for our down falls allowing us to do more. It's because we have faith that God is our provider that we give Him thanks.

Most of us are not humble...

Just an FYI, as Christians, we are not "religious" we have Faith and a relationship with the only Living God.

Religion is man's way of trying to reach God.

Relationship is God's way of reaching us, through Jesus Christ.

Yes, God is Holy and Righteous and only good things come from Him.

When there's destruction in this world...it is the enemy. He is here to give tests, trials and tribulations. In John 10:10 the thief comes but to kill, to steal and to destroy but I have come to give you life and give it more abundantly.

When we are of this world...the enemy (Satan or one of his demons) put you through tests, trails and tribulations. When you become a Christian...it's like he puts a gun to the back of your head. He is literally gunning for you. He wants to kill you, as you are now a threat to his kingdom of darkness. He wants to steal your joy, hope, love, relationships anything to steal your happiness and faith...and third; he's out to destroy anything that will destroy his kingdom of darkness. (See the first two reasons...)

When things go wrong...it is usually connected to sin and an emotion. We don't kill until we have hate in our heart. We don't steal, until we covet what we don't have. We don't commit adultery until we have lust in our hearts.

I'll stop preaching now...

Blessings!
