Usually green tea has an awful bitter taste....Is there anyway to soften or disguise that awful bitter taste green tea has? Or to make it taste better?

Splenda is an artificial sweetener that doesn't have an artificial taste, and is actually sweeter than sugar, in my opinion. I like it in all kinds of tea, because it does reduce the bitterness.

Well there is always the option of sugar or Splenda (my fave). But also green tea is not supposed to be sweetened, if you drink it the way it is served and drank in the Orient. You are supposed to drink it as is and eat a sweet cake or sweet bread with it to take away from the bitterness. Also try not steeping it as long, it will be very pale and faint in color, but strong in taste. Hope this helped.

Try getting a different type of green tea. I am very finnicky about the type of tea I drink (tea snob of sorts, though I don't drink it too often). I am not a fan of green tea, nor do I think you should ruin it with milk and sugar. Here are a few good green teas, that taste good on their own, and not too bitter (I have tried all of them.) They are a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

They do have other flavors, but those are the ones that I personally have tried. Give them a test run, I bet you'll love them!

Try making the green tea with mint leaves. Add sugar or splenda before drinking it. That's a real treat.

Can also use Stevia. But to much of that can be bitter too. Try not to steep your tea bags very long. The longer they steep the more bitter the tea gets.
