I assume you make your own. Here is what to do. Tomorrow, make your coffee. But make it with 20% decaf and 80% regular. Drink it for one week. then go down to 70% decaf.

I just did this. I was starting the morning, with a quart. The afternoon another quart and sometimes a 3rd one.

I am down to 50% - 50. I am beginning to sleep better.

The headaches stop after 3 days but you know what will happen? You'll find yourself at a cold, slow, long, necessary boring class or meeting one Saturday morning at 8am and start eye-ing a coffee pot and BAM! You're addicted again. So, my solution is drink it in moderation and drink water like crazy along with it. It is good for brain function and as long as you counteract the diuretic effect, you like most of the population will live long and healthy as a happy caffeine addict. Take it from someone who's tried successfully and unsuccessfully to stop around, hmmm.... say 7 or 8 times. And I only started drinking it about 6 years ago to counteract fatigue at work. Green tea is good for you and has about 1/3 of the effect. (LOL! You called it 'The Junk'! ~ I totally feel your pain! You're funny)

switch to half caffeinated foldiers, to help you reduce the amount of caffeine your getting in each serving,..then in a few weeks switch to decaf totally, there is still a small amount of caffeine in decaf but you will stop having the head aches as you body adjusts to the change. after that have as much decaf as you want.
Oh and caffeine is tasteless so there will be no change n taste as you transition.

Sounds like a caffeine addict. Try Caffeine candy, gum or soap to supplement and slowly reduce your dose.
