I read this somewhere and I don't know if it's true or not. I have a pom and we also have cats. The cats don't live inside the house, but the pom does. The only interaction the pom gets with the cats is when we take him outside to go to the bathroom. Thanks in advance.

my mom has a dog that's part pomeranian and she also has a siamese cat and those two get along great! no, i don't think what you heard is true.

no this is not true. some cats and dogs are aggressive towards each other so determine if it is safe for the pom to be left around the cat before something bad happens.

Cats and small dogs can get along great. The thing is tho if they get into a fight, the small dog usually does not stand a chance with a cat because a cat uses it claws and teeth during a fight.

Well, I have had two or three cats and have a small dog. It really depends if the dog and the cat get along. Ginger, she hates cats, but her brother Spot liked them. Oreo, a cat was ok with dogs, but Molly hated them. It really just depends on the animal. Wild cats 100% of the time hate dogs. Turst me. It really just depends on the dog and the cat. i have never heard of this. i have a miniature dachshund and a cat and both of are fine. i have a friend who has a cat, a pom and a yorkie and all get along great.

i used to have a jack russel and he chased my cat but nothing bad happened to my cat or the dog and i dont think thats true because ive been reading up on small dogs that get along with cats and nothing like that came up

My two Chihuahua's get along great with my cat. It really depends on the personatily of the cats and dogs.

I have a Peka Pom and he lives with a housecat. They respect each other's space and don't have much to do with each other.

We have a Yorkie and she gets along great with the cat. They are best buds.

I'm sure its not true. I know there are some cats who can't stand the smaller excited dogs, but healthwise, it should be fine.
