Milk is made every day, and there is also UHT milk which will store for some time, so there's no one day that's more appropriate than others

Go to the grocery store that you shop in and ask for the manager of the dairy department and see if he is working then ,ask him when his shipments of milk arrive during the week, that way you will buy it at its peak of freshness.Always check each gallon of milk for expiration dates and get the gallon with the later date.

It depends when the store gets its dairy delivery .
I was a dairy manager for a supermarket at one time .
Some stores get their deliveries every other day .
Just ask the Dairy Manager for the freshest milk .
The clerks usually tell you everything is fresh.

watch for the arrival of the milktruck. then ambush the refrigerated section so you get THE best jug of milk.
