This was meant to be a light hearted question. I was talking to my daughter who lives about 1 1/2 hours from me and she wanted to ask the question. Neither of us have ever smoked weed of any kind. But we do like a really good laugh.
Thanks for the laugh.

If God created everything - then the answer to that would be yes they had weed(s). However - if we interpret your question to mean do you think that they had marijuana - and the assumption then being that it you would be defending the smoking of it.

Ask yourself - do you really think that Adam and Eve were walking around with a lighter and a joint getting toked up? Be realistic. If God created everything - it means that yes he created the marijuana plant as well, but you also have to remember there are tons of things that were "created" that have not been used the way that they were intended. So just because it may be godly in the sense he created it - that doesn 't mean that smoking it is godly as well.

They actually didn't have the kind of weeds we have today...thorns, thistles, etc. They had every herb that was good for food. The weed thing didn't start until after the fall of man.
Gen 3:17 The LORD said to the man, "You listened to your wife and ate fruit from that tree. And so, the ground will be under a curse because of what you did. As long as you live, you will have to struggle to grow enough food.
Gen 3:18 Your food will be plants, but the ground will produce thorns and thistles.
Bummer huh? Just the opposite at my house, if I would listen to my wife more often we would probably be better off....SHHHHH! don't ever tell her that...lol. :)

Adam tended the garden and before the fall there were no weeds. After the fall they were kicked out...and weeds did grow from there out.

As for "weed" in the garden. It's not spoken of in the Bible...so we don't really know the answer to your question. :o)

Blessings!

That's funny! I agree ... and it reminds me of a joke I once heard ... basically it was someone who was talking to God, and God was asking questions, and one of them dealt with why do we mow our lawns ... and the answer was to keep it looking neat and clean ... I'm not really good at telling jokes, but it was quite humorous ... I would agree because I think it is we that have been taught to pull up weeds ... Adam & Eve probably thought they were pretty neat!!

So many darn conservitives! No, weed is not a sin, and it is spoken of all over in the bible. Now, wether adam and eve had some, it's anybody's guess.

No! No weeds, no thorns, no poisons in any of the plants. You could eat of it all.
{except 2 trees}

I'm sure that smoking weed is a sin in God's eyes and they did not do that.
