I've seen so many deferent numbers when it comes to quoting statistics on illegal, so now I'm asking for the true numbers.
How many total illegal immigrants are in the US
How many illegal Mexican or Latino immigrants are in the US
and the most important number to me......How many LEGAL Latinos are here?

Please don't just throw numbers around, provide proof, links, or proper quotes.

And above all else.....keep racial comments to yourself..... trust me I've herd them all in my life time.

Well... good luck finding the true stats...

All I know-- from working with U.S. Ambassadors and Consulates abroad, is that the govt. ususally defines their statistics by decreasing it next to 26%.

So, if this is true, 12 million really becomes approximately, 46,255,000 or a little over 46 million.

The problem is that illegal immigrant numbers are estimated, so they are different. Today the government is saying there are 10.5 million illegal immigrants, but even hispanic organizations have estimated more, and I typically see 12 to 20 million. It is up to you to decide which are the 'true' ones, but those seem consistant with the other facts I've seen.
The legal Latino number you can find, but do you mean foreign nationals, or do you include citizens?

Well here is the low end of the illegals estimate, but I don't think it is 'wrong' it just uses conservative assumptions: http://www.news8austin.com/content/your_news/default.asp?ArID=168854

And this is regarding percentages, not numbers: "Hispanics offer a sometimes puzzling demographic for politicians: They represent the fast-growing segment of the American population, currently 14 percent, but their share of the electorate is half that. Forty percent are illegal immigrants ineligible to vote."

All you have to do is look at our southern states, they have never been their before and those states are not Aztlan, so they don't belong their, they are distroying our small towns they are making laws to protect their towns their guality of life is going down hill since the illegals have arrived, and that has never happened in our history, all you have to do is look what is happening all around the country. I just don't think you want to face facts, you don't need numbers their are too many to count. And no body cares about the legal Mexicans they are Americans. Cities all over America are making new laws to get rid of them and that has never happened, with any immigrant that has ever come here. Hazelton Pa, Georgia, Alabama, and others, not Aztlan terroritory. So they need to be deported and fast.

estimates are between 7 and 20 million but honestly how would you think someone would have an accurate count of illegal immigrants considering that that means that they are not registered people here in the United States, and as far as proof go type in how many illegal immigrants on your home page and do a google search, I personally don't believe everything I read

Not trying to be sarcastic here But how can you count then really ? They don't get included in the census. The only real way to calculate is to take an avrage number based on how maney they suspect are able to cross the border in a day. Thats kind of like asking, How maney jelly beans in this jar.

But US senses bureau does not ask if your legal or illegal in fact is the problem with them. Every study is done different based on different information and you get different numbers according to what is included or not included.

I am sorry, but I doubt there are any sociologists with hard core, heavily crunched demographic numbers in here. Good luck. You will want to search Department of the Census databases, some universities, perhaps in Texas and California may have some statistics.

how do you expect there to be an accurate number of illegals? how to you expect to count illegals accurately? I think that the numbers you see about illegal immigrants are mostly estimates
