Well if the man is a christian and now an atheist because he lost his memory in a car accident then I say God will already be working in his heart and not let the man forget who Jesus is and what He is just so that he'd be saved.
Now for the other way around I'd say even if he lost his memory and now the atheist is a christain then I guess God wanted it to happen that way just so that the man can get to know Jesus and believe in him with all his heart, so that when he gets his memory back he would already have God in his heart. God won't let either one of them forget about God that easily.

That is really a good question, but I don't think anyone knows unless it happens to them which most likely will never be told. But I think they would still both go to heaven because one once believed until he had an accident and the other switched to the good side so yeah, they both go to heaven!!!!!!!

That's a difficult question. I would say Billy Graham would have so many praying for him, that God would bring back his memory.

Christ doesn't live in the mind. He lives in the soul.
Souls remember God.
It isn't some trick of the mind, which many people who don't know believe.
You can't fake your way into Christianity (your second hypothetical situation). You aren't a Christian just by calling yourself one.
As for your first hypothetical situation, souls remain true after amnesia. It is minds that are mangled and garbled.

Well, according to Christian belief, Billy in the second scenario is going to heaven, obvoiusly, because he was born again.
As far as the first scenario--I guess he'll just have to be born again...again! LOL.

If you believe in all that then surely given that scenario BG would go to hell and the second guy would go to heaven?

God doesn't forget even if we do. Just because a man professes to others to be an Atheist or Christian does not mean that is what he believes he is in his "heart". And God knows our "heart".

Silly, since we all know that one's consciousness and personality is a part of the soul, if he loses his memory, he gets two souls =D
