If your timing belt broke when you were driving, if the car is an automatic you might be ok, if it is a manual transmission and you were at a stop you might be ok, manual and driving you are probably going to bend the valves, you should perform a cylinder leakdown test to determine if you have any damage, and yes it is a interference engine

The auto supply has a list of timing belts and which engines are interference are listed in gray background or noted in text. Always turn the engine to top dead center and after the covers are off use white paint and mark everything for reassembly. Interference means bent valves broken valve guides and snapped camshafts. Any engine is best not turned when the timing belt is removed.
