Yes many beer have best before dates, mostly on micro brews, and even the national brands have a date code. If beer has been stored too long in turns skunky. It's not bad like milk goes bad, you won't suffer any harm from drinking it, It will just taste like cr@p.

Also you don't actually have to refrigerate it. Better to keep it in a cool dark place like the basement. Light is not good for beer ever had a Corona right from the store that tasted gross...skunky. Clear bottles are the worst.

The beer can lose moisture after numerous years. i don't believe of you could come around the style distinction after 2 months. I have a 2 liter plastic bottle of Pepsi 8 years previous and it 3/4 complete. Bottled liquid can evaporate.

Yes it can. Though beer has a long shelf life because it was fermented in the first place, it can still go bad. It's actually not the beer itself, it's the additives and other ingredients that will actually spoil, hence spoiling the "beer".

Beers that are very heavily hopped, or strong, will last a long time. The cheap, mass produced beers (ie: Corona, Budweiser, Coors, Heineken) will only last a few months at best.

I always leave it out unopened if I'm not going to drink it for awhile. But I would still drink it even if it's been in the fridge for a long time....

haven't you ever heard of beer having an expiration date? Budweiser brands used to put the born on date on the bottle....Buy new if its been more than 2 months

If it is anything decent like a natural brewed beer, it might last up to three months in refrigeration. If it is chemically preserved and chemically altered "pig swill" such as Corona, Molson Canadien, Bud, Miller etc., it might last up to a year, but you are playing Russian roulette with your body.......
