Chariots of the gods (was god an astronaut)?

was written by Erich Von Daniken back in 1968.

Ive read it and it gives a lot of insight into our possible past including the roots of the bible.

But does anyone beleive in the alien thing it seems a step to far for me. Though i do have an open mind on such issues.

What do you all think???????

It's the first book my dad ever told me to read, great book and lots of food for thought, I think it just shows how anything can be read in different ways, depending on your perspective, have you read his other books? Gold Of the Gods has very good physical evidence to support his claims. Very good books!

I have read that book. The problem is, all lies must be based in some amount of truth, otherwise no one would believe the lie. The hard part here is knowing which part is a lie and which part is truth.
As for the alien thing, if they are here Jesus made them, Jesus made all things seen and unseen.

Why do we need to invent Aliens to explain how the pyramids were built? We see how they were built from archeological and contemporary accounts by humans. His work has been debunked, he even admitted to making up evidence. People like to believe fantastic things, it is almost like a religious cult, where belief is based more on emotional reasonsing than detailed research and understanding.

***Chariots of the gods? ***

Excellent book.
Thought provoking, and if God can be real why not aliens. The books do say that the rebellious angels fell to earth, and we do know that the universe is out there.

Ahahahaha,seen and unseen, that's rich.
Well, believe and it's found false we lose nothing. If we don't believe and it turns out to be true. Do we then get sentenced to hell ?
ahahahaha, Thanks.

I read the book, and it's sequels as and when they came out and look upon them as simply alternative possibilities. I remain to be convinced as to our true origins, be it a religious or scientific explanation.
