Not always. The reaction to a peanut allergy can be very severe and worsens with each exposure. Most people with peanut allergies avoid all nuts. Also, who is to say that the nut factory didn't process peanuts right before the walnuts. UH OH!

Not usually, no. Peanuts are not technically nuts, although that what we call them. They are part of the legume family and grow underground. As such, they are chemically a lot different from other types of nuts. Many people allergic to peanuts are perfectly fine with all other nuts. Of course, it is possible to be allergic to both. The opposite is also true; many people ho are allergic to 'real' nuts have no problem with peanuts.

Not necessarily, peanuts are not actually nuts, they are goobers.
If you are allergic to walnuts, there is a good chance you would be allergic to ALmonds, etc...because they are actually nuts.

I am very alergic to peanuts. Can eat almonds without any problems. Any other nuts or varients of nuts I am in deep trouble. (Even peanut butter).
Read your labels on food products especially chocolate, you would be surprised to find that alot of chocolate candies, have varients of unknown nuts in the ingredients an you may have a serious reaction.
