Also, do you think Don King is trying to do that? If so, he not only would be the tallest, heaviest, champion of all time, but if he got to a 50-0 record, if they stop him there, the longest undefeated streak for a Heavyweight champion, and retire with the best Heavyweight record (by numbers only, not opponents). It would be a good money maker, both, people wanting the records broken, and others to see him get his big @$$ K.O.ed. (We know how tough it is to get a decision off of a DKP fighter)

I will not neccessarily be pissed, but Valuev is not in the same class as Marciano. However,I think he can be very good for the sport. He is starting to capture the casual fans attention and that is what boxing needs to get back into the mainstream..the casual fan. I have been a hardcore boxing fan for 30 years(since I was a 10 year old kid)and have seen many come and go. I think Ali and Holmes were the two greatest heavyweights of all time, but you cant disregard Marciano. He was only 185lbs and that would be a light-heavy or cruiser today. While I dont think Rocky would be able to beat a lot of the monster size champions that came after his reign,49-0 with 45 knockouts speaks volumes. Valuev has a long, long way to even be considered one of the best in the last 10 years much less...all time. However,it wouldnt suprise me to see Don King try anything to make another dollar. King should be banned from the sport. Money really makes strange bedfellows....King is one of George Bush biggest financial contributors to his campaign. Greed makes for very strange alliances. I wish both would drop off the face of the earth, but thats another story..lol.

Interesting point. I think that he will have to earn some respect starting with Monte Barrett and ending with names like Klitchko, Byrd and Brock. Knowing Don King, he will take the route that makes him the most money not necessarily what is best for the fighter. He has not fought the upper class fighters yet but look at the heavyweight division, there are only about 6-7 solid fighters out there with name recognition to Valuev's credit he has fought a lot outside of Russia as this old article points out

http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=913&more=1

"If you look at Valuev’s record you will see Valuev has fought basically everywhere. Some of these include Germany, Japan, Korea, Australia, England, and the two fights in the United States. For a man supposedly protected, as a small time cash cow, he has the credentials of a world traveling journeyman."

But now that King has a hold of him there is no excuse, each fight should be a step up. If he fails to fight any bigger name than Ruiz or Rahman I don't think he will get credit. Maybe enough to earn him a reputation in wrestling for a new career but boxing fans won't take him serious.

I hope not the Rock was a great champion. I have seen a bit of this guy and I know your right fighting Don Kings bums but if presented with a worthy challenger, he would give a good account of himself.

A wouldn't give the pimple on a bedbug's a**h***. (meaning I wouldn't a care)

This is what I mean about being objective and logical. Whether I think that Rocco is the greatest or not (of course I don't). I know that none of these clowns could carry his jock strap.
