Absolutely. For something like this, you will receive a commercially viable certification.

Yes you can get your certification while in the navy I hired several guys who did the same. Companies will even pay more for you and you will have a far easier time getting your foot in the door if you want to work oil field/pipeline welding.
my average start for non military welder is $28 hr the 3 welders I hired out of the military that got certified in there are making about $40 hr and I think they are worth the difference.
Look me up when you get out I'm always looking for good welders.

You might get to be an aircraft mechanic - you need to state your preference and show why the Navy would benefit from your being a certified welder. For them, of course.
Not as hard as it sounds, actually. You can even earn degrees while in the service, but not as easily.

maximum of those issues is actual, yet once you're an underwater welder (dive qualified) you receives a fee more effective for that, and larger because it is risky artwork. yet a customary welder receives paid the same as each individual else, in accordance to time and grade.

yes and no...military experience is awesome but the certifications don't always transfer to the civilian world. you may need to take a welding certification test after you get out but you will have all the knowledge and experience to do well on it.
