Weird, but that is not the only calendar that starts normally. Most of the calendars start with a monday. It is the first day that G-D started making the earth. How would he be able to rest first and then make the earth? No, first he started on Monday, then went through saturday and on sunday he rested after all the work that he has done.

In order to make sense of what actually occurred, we have to research the historical shift of the spanish calendar responsible by the roman catholic church (321 AD- The Emperor Constantine). The jewish people are known to be the original sabbath keepers, thus, they continued to keep the sabbath day on the seventh day, which is saturday ( The original cslendar) for thousands of years, even to this day. See ...( Daniel 7: 25.) ( Exodus 20:8-11.)

You mean why does the spanish WEEK start with Monday?
The names and order of the days of the week come from Rome:
Lunes or monday for the moon day or luna
Martes or Tuesday for Mars
Miércoles or Wednesday for Mercury
Jueves or Thursday for Jove or Jupiter day (the English word may come from Viking god Thor)
Viernes or Friday for Venus (the english word may come from Viking goddess Frida)
Sábado from the Hebrew Shabbath (The English word Saturday may come from Saturn)
Domingo from the Latin Dominus (or lord, the English word Sunday means obviously, the day of the sun)

What day of the week did you start to work?
Your weekend (WEEK END) is friday and saturday or saturday and sunday?
The question is why in USA the week start on SUNDAY.?
Originaly the week starts on sunday, the old testament or bible says that GOD creates the world in 6 days and he rest on the seventh day (SATURDAY)
Jesus came and told the people something like "jews take off the Saturdays, we will work on saturday and take off sunday" or so
