That is truly disgusting, cowboy. So your point is only Mexicans are child molesters ? In my neighborhood, they're mostly Caucasian men in their 50's.

Not at all.

Indians (dot not feather)

Phillipino's

Koreans

Vietnamese. etc.

Our healthcare industry is taking advantage of certain laws and programs to hire cheap labor because they don't want to pay healthcare workers what they are worth so they are trying to hire almost exclusively foreigners here on work visas because they work for less and you can treat them however bad you want and they won't complain.

It's not just mexicans, it's everyone. Our government has opened the flood gates and has started something that is already becoming out of control.

It's happening all over the United States. And I think Australia has the right of it. We should be requiring people to pay to get into this country nowadays.

Unfortunately a lot of those same workers that are working cheap send the majority of the money they earn back to their families in these other countries. A lot of the indians and phillipino's come here to work for 15 years or so, save all of their money, then take it all back home with them so they can retire in luxury.

(The average doctor in India makes about 20k a year. A nurse here makes 40k to start.)

So ultimately they leech off of our economy and put nothing back into it.

America's main arteries are bleeding. Our Country is falling into ruins because of the terrible governing skills over the last few generations. We have become prey to just about every other country out there that makes a product we want, in another couple of decades we will have been leeched dry and will ourselves end up being a bankrupt and destitute nation.

The terrorists are too damned stupid to see what's really going on. countries like India, etc, have the right of it. If you want to take down America, just offer to work for less money than we can live on. Or make a product better than an american company (do we make anything anymore?) and be a part of our downfall.

Well, my brother-in-law used to work in construction, a job that had very good pay and a lot of prestige. He had a nice house and was able to support his stay at home wife and child. Competition for construction jobs was very heated and there was a lot of pride in having a construction job. This was true only 25 to 35 years ago too. Since so many illegals have come in this country construction pay has dropped out of sight. Mexicans will work in construction for a fraction of the former pay. American construction workers have been put out of their jobs except for the workers, especially foremen, who can speak Spanish. The problem of outsourcing is much more complicated then you presume. I'm sure that some companies do it because they are trying to increase profits for themselves. Other, however, do it because they can no longer pay the wages that American's get so it's outsource or die. Yes, there are some jobs such as field work that Mexicans will take and many Americans won't. Who, though, was doing this work before the illegals arrived? I can only presume that it was Americans. If we need foreign workers to do work that enough citizens won't take then why can't we have a guest worker program so they can come here, earn money for their families and the go home? Do you realize that there are all kinds of government programs that are ONLY available to illegals? This is insane!! Why do American taxpayers have to subsidize people that shouldn't be here in the first place. Why are we kicking native born citizens off welfare and establishing an entirely new welfare receiving class of non native born people?

Since you are specifically calling on race. Here is something to ponder. India has a very highly educated work force. They are low wage earners. Great for many other areas other then telemarketing( great FX special, I know). They are excellent in the Tech world too. China, has the best hard working labor force and do make a high number of intellectual property offenses, but the quality of their work and ethics, are impeccable. So, I think you would not be asking so much about Mexicans in general if those two countries were in walking distance from the good ole USA. Because no one would be able to compete. And therefore, Mexicans would be viewed as less hard working because of the impeccable Chinese and the highly educated Indians.

Industrialized Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan, not to mention Singapore, etc.) and India are taking enormous chunks of technology outsourcing away from Domestic US industry.

The great majority of textiles and clothing manufacturing take place overseas.

The Japanese earned the automotive crown a long time ago, have now surpassed the Europeans, and Korea is making a strong run for the top now as well.

There is very little spaces where America is still ruling in the world economy. And yes, Mexicans (many of whom are illegal immigrants) are taking a large chunk of manual labor jobs away from legal American citizens.

No they aren't the only ones. Corporate America is worse. They are selling off America but most people don't see that. Mexicans get a bad rap because there are so many here illegally and because they are in your face and tangible.

I know they are just trying to make a living, but because they are here illegally, they are taken advantage of by employers and companies. They work for less than Americans would, not because we don't want to do the jobs, but because we can't live on what they are trying to pay. Neither can illegal Mexicans, but they do it anyway, so they drag down wages, turn neighborhoods into gettos and lower property values. They end up having to work so much they can't get to the American dream either and so never learn English or accept our culture.

If comanies stopped hiring them, America wouldn't be so appealing to illegals. But it will always be appealing to legal immigrants. So stop the companies and it gets better for all of us, including the immigrants. Stop coming here illegally and then selling yourself for nothing.

Hey, there was a guy on The Jim Lehrer News Hour the other night. He owns a farm that grows peaches. He was discussing a very cumbersome program that he was participating in - it enables him to hire undocumented workers legally. He stated that in his years of program participation, he has had 5 Americans apply for jobs with him, and only two of the Americans hired bothered to show up for another day. I will admit that there is some outsourcing that does affect jobs Americans want to do, but for the most part, Americans seem to think that they are too good to perform certain tasks. This job even paid, like, 8 something an hour, not like minimum wage or anything.

I personally don't see the Mexicans taking jobs. They will just do the jobs that most sorry people wont do. It's true, our minimum wage sux, but any job is better than no job right? Well, a lot of people would rather sit on their bums and draw welfare than to get a job. So we can't blame the Mexicans for taking anything.

No one takes jobs away from anyone. If someone can do the same work as you, the same as you or even better and are willing to be paid less, than more power to them. So thats ridiculous, and the whole "taking jobs away" thing is bogus.
Also, the companies moved to India, and the Indians that work there are more than likely legal citizens of India. So its not even the same thing.

Nope. Just look at India and China. Yet, they think we have a gazillion jobs here and that they're not taking anything away from us. They're brain washed to think that so that they do not rebel against the system that is currently leaving some Americans high and dry.

The difference is that the telemarketers in India don't figure into the American wage equation. YES, I am absolutely AGAINST exporting jobs.

Mexicans do affect the American wage equation, and as long as employers get to hire them and pay poverty wages, don't have to pay minimum wage, don't have to provide workers' comp, etc., the value of American workers is minimized.
