I mean there have been many many religion out there since man was first created. How do we know that because of the lack of technology the people back then didnt just make stuff and then wrote it into a book or pasted it along just like today's science. they had no idea what things happened or why and there is proof for that. there was a man named Zoroaster whom many scholars accredit to to start of judaism. how do we know some guy didnt just run along with these ideas and construct the bible? what makes this Christian God i serve so muxch more real than the others like Zeus. Even though i dont believe in the Trinity, how can this one be different that the hindu one Shiva Vishnu, and the other one? how do we know that God didnt just created us to die and then its over. maybe was afterlife something made up to make death not as bad.

there are still other religions that are triving just like us Christians, and I am a Christian who believes that Jesus s Son of the Living God and has the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives me the ability.

What makes us different is grace. In all religions is about what YOU do to get saved, Christianity shows you that if you put your trust in Jesus Christ to save you, he will do so (you don't save yourself). Also God reveals himself in a Christian person's life, you know that even though you don't see anything everything has a purpose that God gave it. You have the feeling that you're not alone and that somebody is taking care of you. You see miracles happening in your life and everything wrong that happens to you always comes out for good.

Wow, the comments by farkas419 are so laughable and wrong that I can't let them stand uncorrected:

1) The notion that the bible is more accurate than Shakespeare is ridiculous. First off, someone needs to tell her that Shakespeare is FICTION, so it's "accuracy" is a moot point.

2) How did you get this figure of the bible being 98.44% accurate? What does that even mean? First off, you're admitting that the bible is 1.56% wrong which many christians would take exception to. Secondly, to even compute accuracy at all you need to have the ORIGINAL copy(s) to compare to (which we don't have)

3) The MOST LAUGHABLE comment she made was the notion that scribes considered newer copies of the bible to be BETTER than the older ones? Huh? I'm sorry to break it to you honey, but, if you compare the hundred of the oldest copies of the bible that we have, NONE OF THEM MATCH.

For example, the story of John 7:53 - 8:12 where the adultress is about to be stoned and jesus says "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her". This passage of the bible does not exist in the oldest manuscripts we have. It was clearly added CENTURIES later.

There are literally hundreds or thousands of mistakes made in copying the bible over the years before the printing press was invented - some intentional and some unintentional.

4) She also says that much of what was in the bible has been PROVEN. Wow! Were you being intentionally vague there? If you make a statement like that, you need to back it up.

5) Just because a book contains the words "I saw this" or "I saw that" doesn't make the events described true.

Christianity is different than any other religion, because we serve a LIVING SAVIOUR AND A LIVING GOD. Our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ is not in the grave, as the other men that you spoke of. Christ was sinless, the Son of God and son of Man. He sent His holy spirit (Acts in the New Testament) after He ascended into heaven. That spirit can live in YOU if you claim Christ as the Saviour of the World. It sounds like you want to/have but still have questions. Please read the book of First John and pray that God will speak to your spirit when he does.
Yes, I have studied those other religions and met many people, but Christianity is about a relationship with Jesus and God. The other religions are about reading good men's moral character virtues which are good for all of us, but will not give you eternal life.
Christians must be respectful, but Christ does not allow tolerance, as He said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me."
No one can argue with a changed life, and that's what I had twenty five years ago this fall when I asked Jesus to help me in the midst of sorrow, pain and a difficult situation. I became a new creation and this is for everyone.
God Bless you in your confirmation of Christianity for yourself.

Because many gods in pagan religions were created to explain specific natural phenomenon like the rising of the sun or lightning, whereas the Christian God does not contradict current scientific evidence by, for instance, making the sun rise by riding a chariot across the sky or using Atlas to hold up the earth. That's why the Greek gods were made obsolete long ago, while Christianity is still around despite modern advances.

Islam is different from Christianity because it is the belief in one god and one God alone. Allah is the same god as the Christians and the Jews but as Muslims we do not believe that Jesus is also God and that the Holy spirit is God too.
Also, the Qur'an has been unchanged for 1500 years, there are not a lot of different versions published, Just one -therefore when we read it there is no room for mistakes and no alterations by man.
Also there are scienific evidence in the qur'an that was unable to be proved by technology at that time:Fetal development, fingerprints & more. Reading all of this left no doubt in my mind ... God is real !

Your question is the answer to your question Christianity isn't a religion, religion is rules, rituals, rights, and regulations. Christianity is the other "r" relationship, with our Lord Jesus Christ, we are his friends not his "maybe if i don't screw up too bad I'll get to heaven" people. He ask us to follow him and he knows we are inncapable of being perfect. He gives us choice, He makes living a Christian life simple try your best even if you screw up a quadzaminillion times He'll forgive you. It's relationship and we try to do good but no matter how many times we screw up he's always their for us. God is our heavenly father he loves us he doesn't force us to do this or that or give you all these laws where you have to be good enough. That's where Christianiy is different it's not a religion (religion=rules, rituals, rights and regulations) Christianity is much simpler just one "r" = relationship

Christian is not a religion that is the major difference. Christian is about a person, the Lord Jesus Christ who came to earth as a man to die for our sins. He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. He is risen He is alive. We serve a risen Lord not like other so call gods that are in the grave. Religion is when you try to do something to please God. Grace is when God does something for you. He did it all. Put your trust in him and forget about all those religions.

Jesus makes it different. "There is only one name by which man can be saved." That's in the Bible. I can see that a lot of people hate Jesus. And I wonder if this is because if Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life." And if as He said, "there is no other way to the Father but by me." ....then a lot of people are "busted."

You have so much doubt in your mind regarding your religion. If you start asking questions like you just did, it tells me that your faith is not strong. Faith is accepting something without any need of proof, such as God and His existence.

You answer your question prilimarily. Yes, you could be right. That is why I try to learn as much as I can about religions of the world and investigate into its teachings. I take in only what is good and avoid those that I consider bad.
