I've been left for a blonde so I just want to know...
What's so special about blondes?

It's just a matter of preferences, and tastes vary widely; I prefer brunettes. But that won't begin to explain why someone left you for someone else with a different colored hair. Hopefully their decision wasn't reached on so superficial a basis, but if it was, aren't you better off without them in your life?

I actually prefer the brunette. Don't get me wrong, won't turn down a blond if the chance arises, but alway was attracted to the brunette.

Some guys just want to run around and not commit. Just feel secure that the guy who left you will more than likely leave her. How can a relationship that has its first act on leaving someone else have any trust in it?

Please don't stereotype us as a gender; I don't see anything better in blondes than in brunettes. It is all a matter of exoticism.

For example, in Denmark and Norway, brunettes are considered highly attractive due to the lower level of them in comparison with the entire population.

I have never dated a blonde, nor will I ever generalize based on such fine and meaningless distinctions as hair color.

But those that do simply follow a key human instinct, an animal instinct, in fact: genetic variation. It is best for the longevity of the human race for men and women to mate with those that are most different from them, creating the highest level of genetic variation, thereby ensuring better chance of survival for the race as a whole in the case of extreme, international disaster, both natural and man-made.

So exoticism is really a derivative of simply human and animal instinct.

And the entire concepts of blondes being considered idealistic in the U.S. thus derives from a basic animal instinct.

I hope that explains the answer to your question in both a social and scientific way, and hope I haven't lost you somewhere along the explanation. Hah.

I wish you all the best!

I'm not sure there are all that many true true blondes out there so technically these guys are still going for brunettes.

i am a brunette guy for sure because i tend to like women with a little color to their skin (mediterraneans, latinas, indians, light-skinned black) and those ladies tend to be darker-haired.

don't get me wrong though......i love ALL beautiful women!

I like all the flavours, but it has to be real.

I'm more drawn in by blue or green eyes, oh and possibly pail skin
