The church uses psychological manipulation for good.
I have used psychological manipulation for good.
Is there an atheists version of the churches style of psychological manipulation?
I am getting really sick of all the fear mongering the church uses to keep my mind "on task".
I want to be a good person, and have people do good things for others, and to spread the word of doing good, without having to scare the bejesus out of them.

Personally, I feel the Bible was written by people who were try-
ing to interject their own opinions, and, at a time when issues
that confront us today to not apply. Obviously such things do
not necessarily apply today, I believe in freedom for all persons
to do whatever they please without judgement by religious
biggots. I am against war and feel it is totally religiously in-
fluenced and has always been so - I believe all are created
equal, that goes for all nationalities. I believe gay and lesbians
have rights to marry, to live where they choose, I also belive that
"christian" outcries regarding this are wrong. It is shameful the
way our American Indians were missused - and are still being
abused financially, if you could only see an Indian Reservation.
Education will help people like yourself from being scared, we look at the less fortunate, what a diffrence education would make in living conditions, education opens doors and does not scare the "bejesus" out of you if you are down and out, true religion
comes from each persons heart, a smile goes a long way to make someones day. I dislike ranting religious leaders who preach that everything they do not agree with can be interperted
as evil. Do not stop being a good person, look through everyones eyes even tho you do not agree, try to see their side
of the overall picture, it is not necessary for you to accept all
you see, but if one is living a loving and caring life, helpful to others forget any religious preconceptions. A wonderful life to
you.

First of all, forget about atheists. Nothing they preach and/or use to "win souls" is worth a hoot. Second, if your church is using psychological manipulation of any kind for any reason then you need to find a new church. Knowing Jesus and coming to Jesus does not require psychological manipulation of any kind. You either want to know Jesus or you don't. Nothing psychological about it, and manipulation of any kind cannot make a person believe nor can it cause a person to be saved. Seek out a solid foundation, Spirit-filled church and see what a difference the Truth will make in your life.

I would argue your premise that you have used psychological manipulation for good. I would argue that it is not good. No matter what the motives, there's no excuse for being dishonest and manipulative. The ends DO NOT justify the means. That was established at Nuremberg, if not before.
But you are right; atheists use it, too. More from a political point of view, but the means are very, very similar. We won't go into just exactly how different the ends are. That's not my fight.

purely bypass to a various church. you would be satisfied there and your aunt will additionally be satisfied. isn't it a psychological manipulation to declare you will bypass to hell in case you do unlike god? Our lives are packed with psychological manipulation nevertheless they actually shouldn't finally end up as psychological abuse. And psychological manipulation is the muse of merchandising.
