Take the dog to the vet and he/she will advise you on medicating your dog. You can't get a safe diagnosis like this over the internet.

Good grief!! You can kill a dog with Tylenol. The 1/2 or possibly one baby aspirin is possibly the best answer so far but you really need to know WHY the dog has a fever. Does it have an infection somewhere in its body? Is it dehydrated as the possible result of kidney failure or liver problems? Does it have a bladder infection? Any or all of these issues should be addressed by a veterinarian and arbitrarily giving a dog aspirin, or God forbid! Tylenol, is a very bad idea.

Dogs can have some human medicines. Aspirin is one, but if she's really small give her a child aspirin or 1/2 of adult strength. My dogs will take it if I put it in a piece of bread with some peanut butter.

I was always told not to give animals human meds unless the vet told me to. I know aspirin can KILL a cat, I don't know about a dog, but I'd call a 24 hour vet just to be sure. A lot of times they have a vet on call that will help you. I dealt with that when my kitten had pneumonia and I needed some help to get him to stop coughing.

I would avoid Tylenol at all costs. That stuff will rot your liver. I can only imagine what it would do to a small dog. I would try a cool bath, plenty of water and a call to the vet for advice.

Children's Tylenol
1 chewable
I work at the vets
No aspirin because it will cause stomach bleeding and ulceration.
I would contact a vet though because it could be something more going on. If you can't afford it ask if they will let you make payments.

Unless you have used an anal thermometer you haven't a clue if the dog really has a fever or not. Quit playing doctor. If you feel your dog is ill, take it to a vet.

Go to the vet... are you sure your dog temperatures is not normal... normal temperature for a dog is 101F.
As a rule, you don't give your animals anything over the counter... consult an expert before given your dog anything.
Take Care.

Do not medicate yourself....take to a vet...some things like aspirin that we use to take a fever down is poisonous to a dog...(How do you know it has a fever)...In the meantime make sure it drinks water..........
