You are incorrect. We believe there is only one true God whose name alone is Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18) We know that Jehovah God's only-begotten Son is Jesus Christ whose name means Jehovah is Salvation. The Holy Spirit is not a person, but is Jehovah's active force that uses to accomplish his purposes and to renew his servants with power to endure persecution and to assist them in carrying out the worldwide preaching work they are now doing in fulfillment of Bible prophecy.( Matthew 24:14)

Clearly you don't know what Jehovah's Witnesses believe, as evidenced by your very question.

Jehovah's Witnesses recognize only ONE being, Jehovah, to be the Almighty God, the Universal Sovereign and the only person worthy and deserving of our worship. However, there are many "gods" out there. Even the Bible recognizes that Jesus is "a god", while not being the Almighty. NEVER in the Bible is the term "Almighty" applied to anyone other than Jehovah. NEVER in the Bible is the false doctrine of the trinity taught or admonished in any way. To the contrary, the Bible teaches in both Colossians 1:15 and Revelation 3:14 that Jesus Christ was a created being by God, in fact the very first of God's actual creations. So that fact there shoots down ANY claim that Jesus ever was or is God.

The Bible spoke of other nations around the Israelites (and sometimes including the Israelites) worshiping false gods such as Ba'al. It also spoke, in some cases, as the judges in the nation of Israel being considered "gods" of a sort. So there are many gods, even today, but of them, only ONE is the true and living God, and the Bible names him as Jehovah.

i don't know what the Jehovah witnesses think but the Bible says there are 3 in 1 also called the Trinity. The modern translations are off a bit. In the beginning it should say Gods in the correct translations. No it has nothing to do with paganism.

We Jehovah's Witnesses are monotheistic Christians as all true Christians are. We worship Jehovah God. You may be referring to the fact that there are many "gods" in that Satan is the "god" of lies. People make "gods" out of many things. Some people almost worship their cars. Jehovah is the one true God. If you wish to know more about our religion and what we believe there are two things you can do. Preferably you can go to a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and ask one of us a Question or you can go to the official website http://www.watchtower.org

PS In regard to one of the answerers. We are not Unitarian. I take offense at this, as I am sure the Unitarians probably do as well. Please do not compare on religion to another.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe there is only one God, Jehovah. Jesus is His son. The holy spirit is Jehovah's active force or power. I don't know where you got your information but it's wrong.

They only believe in one Jehovah! He created a son the first spirit creature he ever made. col 1:15 Rev 3:14 says he was the first of his creations by him and thru him all other things was created in the heavens and the earth. They teach they were together for like billions of years. John 14:28 it says that the father is greater than I am.
the lords prayer he taught us to pray was hollowed by thy name.
Don't know where you got the third one.
they don't believe in the trinity. Preach that it is wrong and told me that there is only one god.

Most of the teachings of the Watchtower society are not Christian teachings.

They reject Jesus as God.

They reject the Holy Spirit as God.

They teach that the Jesus is really Michael the Archangel... a created being.

Further, they use a version of the Bible called the "New World Translation". They have changed their version of the Bible time and time again to fit their false teachings.

Even though they reject Jesus as God, they still want to call themselves Christian.

The Jehovah Witnesses are not Christian.

They mistake the Trinity of God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit. All three is the same God but in His different forms.

This is an issue that many people understand differently. I can only say what I believe. First I believe that I am made right with God because Jesus shed His blood for my sins. Second I believe that Jesus is one in the Spirit with God. They are in unity. I do not think that doctrine is as important as faith. God is my Father and Jesus came to restore me to fellowship with God that I had lost because of sin. It is enough.I don't have to know or understand everything.

They are Unitarian in a way -- they do not acknowledge that Jesus is God incarnate on earth. Thus they believe that Jehovah, their name for God, is one.
