Gimmick. Doesn't work, and can even void the warranty if it causes damage to your vehicle.
If you want to save gas, buy a smaller car. Like a Fit or a Yaris. Or even a Civic, Mazda 3, Cobalt, Corolla, etc.
And join a good car enthusiast forum, because a lot of the people here are tards. (anyone who said it would work. lol.)

NO . those issues are scams>tom thorbureson on motor vehicle and driver radio i have self assurance it grow to be ( i won't be able to spell his very last call) did a study for the authorities on a majority of those issues and were given no more effective efficient mileage then formerly. What they fail to allow you to recognize is that the formerly numbers are recorded, then the former vehicles are given an complete tuneup and the piece is put in and then new mpg #'s are produced... no ask your self they're getting more effective efficient mileage,

If you have a regular carb w/ new air filters it will increase your rpm efficiency but the gas mileage is minimal.
