Men do that not only in your part of the world, but it's a general tendency of men to be polygamous, which boosts their ego, manhood, and machismo. It is a given notion amongst men, that the more women you had or have, the more attractive and appealing you are to the opposite sex. I think it has more to do with pride. It has been happening since time immemorial. It happens to educated and noneducated men. It happens to most men, notwithstanding their nationality, culture, or religion.

Because alot of guys feel that it is really great to have several girls. It is like a game to see how many knotches in their belts they can make. These guys are not woth your time. They are still immature to apreciate a good gal when they see one and are interested in only one thing. Don't waste your time.

Because when he said it to u...u know, at that moment...u WERE his only girl. But then he met another girl at another moment, then SHE was his only girl. Besides, a guy will do anything, and say anything to get a girls heart. Because he knows then he'll get her trust..and soon after he gets that...he knows he'll be able to get in her pants...and remember, that's EVERY guy's ultimate goal(if they're striaght), with some girl.

I think it's because if a guy told you that you weren't the only one you'd be less likely to be with him. Idk it seems like no one really believes in dating anymore...just f**king or being in a relationship. I mean what happened to dating a bunch of different people to weed out the ones that aren't so good and find the one that semi-completes you? Anyways, yeah that's my respond to that question...he tells you you're the only one because if he was honest and admit that you weren't you'd get pissed.

Girl take it from a woman they want they cake and ice cream. They all say I won't do you like the last guy and then they turn around and do so much more. Basically they tell you what you wanna here so they can get in your panties.

Nice guys don't do that.
I know it's hard to accept it when you like someone and he doesn't like you as much. Believe me, there are 10,000 guys in the world who are dateable. Don't waste your time on a player unless you're into being lied to and cheated on.

well obviously i hate to say this but if he claims you are his girl and then telling another girl the same thing he is a dog. dump him! he doesnt care about you and he is lying about his true feelings over u. you need to confront him ASAP!

Because they think that there players and by saying that they are going to make you feel special. NOTTTTTTTT!!!! You need to listen to all the things that every guy you have dated and they are all the same.
