I have just stepped on the scales this morning and my weight is up by just over 4 pounds from 7 days ago. my salt levels have been a bit mixed up from laxatives and vomiting so is this water retention. Though my jeans feel tighter does this happen to due to water retention?? I never eat more than 1500 kcal a day also

Laxatives hold water to loosen the stool. Try to use them to get clear and try to watch your diet and increase fiber and green vegetables fruits and fiber to be natural in your stool. See a doctor and drink 8 glasses may be a bit much. I am not in the greatest of weight but I drink a lot of soda which I understands over loades calories. Electrolytes are down too Need Gatorade to boost back from vomiting.
but Vomiting is not good. What ever goes down I want it to become a part of me and to help my health. The acid coming up from rejection of food is not good. See a doctor to rule out diabetes and if you are young diets are not good. Diuretics will aid in water reduction see a doctor. Soft foods are good and try to get something like juice prunes rasin brand or maybe a large shake vanilla to ease your vomiting. Do see a doctor. I just been where you are and it was not good. Also Elect not to worry about the pounds and try walking and exercise in a normal fashion once you are well.
