Don't try to help him. Most likely,he's beyond help. He's a man, right? We just can't help them, try as we might.Just don't try to convert him.No one likes that, unless they're seeking to be converted,in which case,he'll let you know.Just be your funny little self without the Jesus part.I mean, what's the Christian catchphrase?Let your light shine,or whatever.Honey, you could hide it under a bushel, and it would still get out through the cracks. Are you interested in him as a woman?Sounds like it.Could this be your hottie cutie?Maybe your(and our)prayers were answered, only with a twist.Maybe you have to bring out the mystical Christian in him,and he will already have a tolerance to atheists, having been one himself.Or at least a non-religious type. There you have it,Annie.Remember,if he is all that and a cup of tea,you let me know so I can start believing in God.I'm getting kind of bored with not believing in anything. Not that I ever want to go to church again, but sometimes prayer is nice.It gives me an excuse when caught talking to myself...

Just because he's an atheist or doesn't believe in Jesus doesn't mean he's not "spiritual." It just means he's not spiritual according to your (admittedly narrow) definition of the word.
Why don't you let him be on that point unless he asks? Maybe (gasp!) he's totally fine with his beliefs.
P.S. You're being a good friend by not talking about Jesus even though you so desperately want to (and he obviously doesn't). Do you know what a f---ing drag it is to hang out with a religious friend who starts droning on about his religion? Or worse, trying to convert you? It totally sucks!

I truly hope you are not attempting to gain his trust for the purpose of conversion to any form of belief he does not already hold, Annie. That tactic is certainly not something any religion that does NOT have anything to hide would EVER do...
Please look and reassess your motives, as I fear my 'spidey sense' is tingling!
Be honest to yourself when you look in the mirror - can you HONESTLY offer him IMPARTIAL spiritual guidance?
Is this your motive? Has he requested as much?
If not, I am sorry to inform you that many 'cults', some that hold quite poisonous agenda's, use such methods to 'wean' people into their way of 'believing'...
The consequences of our actions remain with us forever and impact upon all.

you think you are really sharp, don't you. and have all the answers, now that you've been successfully brainwashed by the robot masters. you are clueless beyond all belief. and i wish you luck. "christianity" as it is practiced currently in the U S has little to do with spirituality in the truest sense, and much to do with creating armies of sheep, who fork over their money and personal power to the sociopaths running the show. open your eyes, roboclone!

i know you may not believe in astrology much but look up his sign some of them particularly aries are just not all that spiritual. It just doesn't matter to them. While others like pisces and libra couldn't go through an hour without talking about it. you two are probably just not compatible.

Let him be, you wouldn't want anyone trying to change your beliefs.
Funny, I didn't know a "THE atheist" could be so tiring...moron. Don't talk about people like objects.
P.S. You know, most atheist people don't talk about it and more often then not will not let people know they are atheist. (A friend of 17 year just now figured it out about me.) So how is it that you even know this of him, were you so rude to ask that of him??

I'm sure that talking about atomic theory is much more interesting than listening to you prattle on about a 2000 year old dead guy. Leave him alone!!

Maybe he doesn't need your help? I think the problem with faith and people who push their own faith, is that you can't be convinced.. you need to believe on your own, by yourself. Nothing anyone could say will matter or sink in... until you really think of it on your own.. and by youself.
Have him witness your life. That is the only route you can take, I believe. Live your life, and let him look in and learn on his own. Do not push.

You can pray for him to seek guidance and help with his spiritual affairs through Jesus Christ Our Lord, but he does have to find all of this for himself, sounds to me like he is under the conviction of God and is trying to deny his feelings and thoughts. Pray.

Who the heck are you to determin this guy needs help?
He sounds happy enough to me not to have someone pushing religion down his throat!
Ease off and just be a friend. Or are you one of those that just has "christian" friends?
