a pound of feathers because feathers are weighed in "avoirdupois" weight, which has 16 ounces to a pound, whereas gold is always weighed by "troy" weight, which only has 12 ounces to a pound

they both weigh the same now the real question is what weighs more.... A ton of feathers or a ton of gold bars?
the gold bars weigh more (they are measured in metric tons) one metric ton = 1000 Kg which is roughly 2200 pounds
