I read that article. The Davey Crockett was one of the dumbest weapons designed by the military. Someone finally was like, oh **** this doesnt make any sense.

Why would the russians be afraid of a weapon that with them being upwind of the user, the user would die.

Your info is faulty, there other reasons for the halt, but it was not the Davy Crocket that did it.
