Far too often. Does anyone really think that God cares one way or another who gets elected President?

1) If by your question you mean how often do other nations view American Christians as a certain type of individual, especially as negatively portrayed by American media, I'd say -
"Quite frequently".
2) If, on the other hand, you mean how often do American Christians pick up popular ideas from their surrounding culture I would have to give the same answer: "Quite frequently."
Many American Christians have made fictional concepts (especially the idea of an "instant rapture"), part of their personal beliefs. If studied carefully, the Bible clearly indicates that Christ's Return will be nothing like the fantasy-filled concepts portrayed by popular "Christian" books and movies.

LOL
I'd say "American Christianity" is a part of "American mythos".........
I would never call myself an "American Christian"....I'd have to hesitate before I called myself a "Christian American"
But I have no problems calling myself Christian!
