All grain recipe - BLUE MOON
4.5 lbs. 2 row
3 lbs. Wheat
.5 lb. unmalted Wheat
1 oz. Bitter Orange Peel (by Brewer's Garden)
Wyeast #3944, Belgian Wit
1 oz Mitte frue hops 4.4
*** Mash at 155 for one hour, boil 1 hour, 1/2 oz hops at beginning of boil, 1/2 oz hops when 15 min remaining, orange peel when 15 min remaining.
If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. I think the Blue Moon by Coors has corriander, but my local guy did not mention it (probably because he didn't have any available).
I would do anything to be able to make a beer comparable to Blue Moon, YUM!!

I have, and it is one of my favorite beers. As usual, draft is prefered, but most aren't lucky enough to have the choice when they're at home.
Blue Moon is in the style of a Belgian white. If you like Blue Moon, you should really check out some other Belgian whites.

we are selling alot of Blue Moon on draft at Zipps in Scottsdale,AZ. It appeals to the beer-flavor people, the heffe crowd, but it's not so heavy as to not be refreshing...which is important in a place that is above 90 degrees from march to october. We are serving it with an orange slice, i don't know why but it works really well.

YES! My fav. generic beer. I prefer tap, but it's fine in a bottle too. What's really really good is if you float an orange slice in it. It's like a heff (spelling is hard) with lemon, but the orange is better!

I think it's best out of the tap. But bottles work in a pinch. And to the lady with the recipe: yeah, I think it does have coriander. I hope your brew turns out great!

Mmm! This is one of my favorites - esp with an orange slice! I prefer drafts in a frosty mug!

Yes, draft, did not like it. Too light, no flavor.

Draft.
I thought it was ok. Not my favorite. I prefer Corona, Guinness, Boddingtons, Belhaven.
