nicely, talking from somebody that's born and raised a Floridian... I ought to assert, it relatively is a sprint of the two. North Florida (which would be a very seperate state from South Florida) is "The South" by way of fact it is so on the component of Georgia. yet South Florida is incredibly plenty East-Coast. yet like somebody else mentioned, Florida is incredibly very such because it incredibly is own entity. And it relatively is definitely no longer the "Deep South." relatively no longer. no longer even North Florida is like that.

Because the technical name for it is "soda pop", so everyone shortens it differently. I live in Kansas, and I say "pop". Pretty much everywhere I've been, people have said "pop" as well, like in California, Florida, Texas, and others.

no clue but in Tennessee all "pops" or "sodas" are just called coke in general. For example If I wanted to know what kind of "soda/pop" someone wanted I would just say "hey what kinda coke do you want?"

I don't know, but they are both wrong, since in the south, and Texas it's a "coke." No, it doesn't matter that it is a Dr. Pepper or a Sprite. It's a "coke"! But my cousins from Kansas always called it a "pop."
Which of course, was just wrong.

In Texas, and through much of the South, all carbonated non-alcoholic beverages are "cokes". Gotta love regional dialect!
