Starbuck's Frappuccino

Ingredients :

1/2 cup fresh espresso
2 1/2 cup low-fat milk (2 percent)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbl dry pectin

Method :
Combine all of the ingredients in a pitcher or covered container. Stir or shake until sugar is dissolved. Chill and serve cold.
This recipe yields 24 ounces.
NOTES : To make the "Mocha" variety: Add a pinch (1/16 teaspoon) of cocoa powder to the mixture before combining. To fake espresso with a drip coffee maker and standard grind of coffee: Use 1/3 cup ground coffee and 1 cup of water. Brew once then run coffee through machine again, same grounds.
Makes about 1/2 cup fresh espresso to use in the recipe. Run a pot of water through machine, without grounds, to clean.

I came up with this one day when I was craving a frozen mocha, but didn't have the access of a Starbucks within a 50 mile range, I lived in the sticks, LOL. I love mine more than the ones you get at the expensive coffee shop's. It has also had RAVE reviews, and my friends call and request for me to make it for them all the time. My husband also puts requests in for it, and he doesn't even like coffee. There is no set measurement for the ingredients I just throw everything into the blender and taste and add to it as I go. This comes out to be the consistency of a milk shake, and if desired you can add ice to make it more of a frozen type drink. If you wish to make it vanilla, then use vanilla ice cream, and add some vanilla extract.

Chocolate Ice Cream (the 5 quart buckets seem to taste the best)
Milk
Nestle Chocolate Syrup
Instant Coffee Grounds (about 2 Tbs. is all you need, but more can be added, or some taken away)

Easy home recipe. For a 16 oz. Choc. (Mocha) frappe:
5 oz. strong brewed coffee
2 oz. chocolate syrup
fill rest of cup with milk then frappe in blender.
Top with whip cream, drizzle with choc. syrup

Same recipe for vanilla but substitute choc. syrup with vanilla syrup. I use Torani vanilla syrup.
