When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

"7 “And in case a man should sell his daughter as a slave girl, she will not go out in the way that the slave men go out. 8 If she is displeasing in the eyes of her master so that he does not designate her as a concubine but causes her to be redeemed, he will not be entitled to sell her to a foreign people in his treacherously dealing with her. 9 And if it should be to his son that he designates her, he is to do to her according to the due right of daughters. 10 If he should take another wife for himself, her sustenance, her clothing and her marriage due are not to be diminished. 11 If he will not render these three things to her, then she must go out for nothing, without money. "

She wasn't sold as a sex slave, just a slave. The owner could either make her his wife or his concubine to bear him children. But he would have to treat her very well and not sell her to a foreign people. Please don't twist the scriptures.

OK, your screen name is atheist, you are asking a moral question, and quoting the Bible (2,000 year old passage - give or take!) No one thinks that is moral. No Christian would stand up and demand it to be their right to own a sex slave. If they did, they would immediately be arrested. I think you are trying so hard to find fault that you can't see the forest for the trees, dear. Try thinking of this as a more enlightened time. Then look back historically at ALL cultures 2,000 years ago. See where I am going with this?
