We are not speaking about immigrants. We complain of illegal aliens of any kind who come here, go on welfare, clog our schools, emergency rooms & jails. YES, I said JAILS. Wherever large groups of illegals move to , the crime rate goes up. If you don't believe that, check out places such as Nampa, Idaho. It has been taken over by illegals. Property values have dropped, crime rates have risen & so have medical & welfare costs. As for doing jobs that Americans won't do, that is a crock. I am 65 yrs. old. Noone but myself & my husband raised my children. I also took in foster kids. I have done jobs such as scrubbing public toilets, washing dishes, sewing, bucking hay, milking cows etc., etc. Nobody mows my yard except me. My husband built our home with his own hands. he did electrical, plumbing, flooring, roofing & everything himself. I nor anyone I know has ever been ashamed or unwilling to do any job that was legal & we always did them to the best of our ability. My caucasian, *****, mexican & oriental friends have all been the same. What am I? a very proud American who is tired of people who thumb their noses at our laws & then try to make us feel guilty because we don't like it.

If they're illegal (that's what most folks are objecting to) then by definition they should not be here taking jobs that American and legal workers could do. I'm of Puerto Rican / Cuban heritage but I'm American First and what's wrong is wrong. Plus I compete with those illegals who work for VERY LITTLE. I would do, and I have done, all manner of work. But I won't take slave wages which is what the illegals have brought about.

I don't think people whine about immigrants in general, but merely illegal ones. They don't have to pay taxes because they have no W-2s for example. They are paid under the table. They are not denied access to schools and universities either despite not paying taxes. It's unfair for those who had to go through the process of legalization and unfair for those who have to monetarily contribute back to the government because they are documented.
