I became a saved christian and started to read the bible. ohh and another question... why do so many catholics put their salvation in the hands of a man? "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"1timmothy 2:5
"not by works of righteousness which we have done. but according to his mercy he saved us." titus 3:5

It's not by works less any man should boast.

You paint a very false picture of Catholic teaching and belief. The Catholic Mass has two parts..the Liturgy of the Word (where scripture is read and that consists of two readings, a psalm, then a reading from the Gospel. Then there is the liturgy of the Eucharist which the prayers come directly from the Bible and the bread and wine are transformed into the Real Presence during the transubstantiation and we have the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ before us on the altar which we receive in Holy Communion. It is all based on Scripture so you never clearly understood your faith. Then also, the Catholic Church relies on Sacred Tradition as well as Sacred Scripture. The Sacred Tradition is the teachings of Jesus, passed on to His apostles, and handed down through an unbroken line of succession through Apostolic succession of the Bishops and Popes of the Church, set in place by Jesus Himself.

For many reasons, there are a few differences between Catholics and Protestants. (Example; praying to Mary is one of them; which that principle is scriptural). However, there is also a few fallacies that neither has overcome/eliminated (in the structured sense).
I say that having been a deacon ina Protestant congregation, and later going thru most of a Catholic RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults).

who said that just because yo became Christian you are saved?? Only God knows!!!
Yes i think Catholics are wrong in a lot of stuff but what really matters to God is your acts! So be a good person and give love to everyone, thats what Jesus came to teach us.

That is the way it is with them.
I see that you were a Catholic at one time, so was I.
Can you remember how you came out of the Catholic Church?
I can remember how it happened for me.
You don't come out unless it is given to you.
Not given, you stay in the religion.
My mother and Grandmother stayed in the Catholic church.
My other Grandfather went to church every Sunday till he got sick and died. It was not given to him.
Like it or not it is the Lord that calls the shots.
He wants you out, out you come.
How is it written?
John 3:27 John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.
All the abuse and whacking in the world will not bring them out of the Catholic Church, If God wants them out then they will come out.

Because if we can get gullible fools to do good deeds and have them believe their entrance into heaven is guaranteed thereby, it makes the world a much nicer place for everybody, rather than to convince those same gullible fools to just read a book all day and pontificate about their so-called knowledge.

Would Jesus want you to follow him like a sheep or go out and do good?

Sheep are for slaughter being human gives you the ability to act like Jesus by doing something great and still believe.

I hope you recover from your lost ways.

Because some cathlocs(like myself) don't think that you can just believe in God and shabammy you are in heaven. It does not make sense to me. I believe that a person has to try their best to be a great person and that they even have to strive for it. I just don't understand how a serial killer could commit horrible crimes, then believe in God and just go to heaven. That makes no sense

it relatively is all approximately having a relationship with Jesus Christ. it relatively is all a pair of relationship. Christ is our recommend. He took our penalty. it relatively is no longer proper how religious you seem. it relatively is a love relationship. keep in mind the 1st commandment: "Love the Lord your God will all your heart soul strategies and capability" (the ten Commandments and Christ Jesus references it in His renowned sermon on the mount). examining John 17 provides you with some solace. it relatively is the prayer Jesus prayed for his disciples and for us. Quoting the Bible: 10 2 adult males went up into the temple [[i]enclosure] to desire, the only a Pharisee and the different a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee [j]took his stand ostentatiously and commenced to desire for this reason before and with himself: God, I thank you that i'm unlike something of adult males—extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers—or maybe like this tax collector here. 12 I quickly two times a week; I supply tithes of all that I earnings. 13 however the tax collector, [only] status at a distance, does not even raise up his eyes to heaven, yet stored stunning his breast, announcing, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the [ok]somewhat wicked sinner that i'm! 14 I show you how to comprehend, this guy went right down to his residing house justified (forgiven and made upright and in good status with God), somewhat than the different guy; for each individual who exalts himself would be humbled, yet he who humbles himself would be exalted (Luke 18:10-14) notice that the wealthy guy gave his credentials to God jointly as the detrimental guy humbled himself and asked for forgiveness. the wealthy guy became into detrimental in that he became into detrimental in the dominion of Heaven, and particularly possibly his riches had stolen his heart.

I wouldn't say that Catholics believe we can make it to heaven on our own; we need Christ's sacrifice and God's grace. Nonetheless, there has to be some effort on our part. We don't believe that you can say 'I believe in Jesus Christ' and 'shabammy' you're in heaven. You say that you've started reading the Bible; that's good. Can you explain these passages, then, to me? And I don't mean to just quote different passages in return, but to actually explain them. To me, they seem to say that the way to heaven is by loving others and being a servant to them.

Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

Mt 25:34-40 "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, `even' these least, ye did it unto me."

James 2:14-24 "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead...You believe that God is one. You do well. Even the demons believe that and tremble. Do you want proof, you ignoramus, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by the works...See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone."

Mt 19:16-21 "Now someone approached him and said, 'Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?' He answered him...'If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.' ...The young man said to him, 'All of these I have observed. What do I still lack?' Jesus said to him, 'If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to (the) poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.'"
