Grandmother leaves her dog Lawrence everything.
It just happened to my very best friend and she is devastated .because she was very close to her grandmother......anyway the dog named Lawrence is a six year old Pekineese and probably has at least 10 years left of life .after the dog pass (dies) the rest has to go to several animal charities . what do you think?
PS....it is legal to leave your fortune to your pet .I check it out ...check for yourself>>> http://petcaretips.net/pet-trust.html...

If she felt like the dog and her bonded unlike any other-and he brought her joy unconditionally; unlike any type of happiness she has ever known-then yeah it's fair-and it's not greed-your the one being selfish-or your friend for thinking that. I'm sure if you/her had someone show/give you a type of affection no one else could-you'd give them your world-even your last cent. It's only fair-he treated her like she deserved. Be thankful and happy-at least she didn't gamble on it-it's going to charity , helping out the needy-who cares if it's going to animals-they need love too. Oh, and your a animal as well-a mammal.

I think it is weird but there can be many reasons. The first would be if the family always took advantage of her for her money, or just wanted her money then that is a big F.U I am leaving it to the dog. I could see leaving some for his care but I still think that it is weird and mean. But also ppl from that generation think (and it's true) that the kids nowadays have everything handed to them. They worked for that money and they want the family members to do it to...so that is there way in death of saying it.

Grandmother may have strong convictions that family members who do not need custodial care (like dogs do), should make it on their own in this world. Your friend may have been close to her grandmother but granny may have felt closer to the dog. They spent every day together, were always there for each other. Ultimately, granny may have felt let down by family in general (not your friend in particular) and have felt that the animals needed her money more.

It's legal and forget fair. Do they have a right to be angry about it? How bad to they need the money? What if they got the money and someone else was mad at them because they didn't get any?

no offence to your best friend - but sometimes when you see the state of people in this world and how money changes people and family relationships (as it did in my family) i can definitely see why they do that....it's probably in her best interests.

dogs are harmless they hurt no one....except for the ones that bite!
