I work in a place where we have to wear our shirts tucked in, and I interact with many females daily. She tells me that certain pants show my package and she gets upset with me because of that. Do females really check out stuff like that, or is she just over reacting?

Yes , women are like men & check out what your packing & what your butt looks like. Women get turned on by certain attributes the same as us men get turned on by looking at womens body parts. You should not be concerned & neither should your girlfriend about others checking out your package. As long as you do not encourage anyone to check it out & you save your package for her what is to worry about. Are you then to tell her that you do not want anyone to check out her breasts or her camel toe? No & it is an unreasonable request. She should be happy that you have a package that you save for her & be damned if anyone looks & feel happy if she recieves compliments on what others see when they look at your crotch. Tell her to tell them thank you & that she likes it too, & if this becomes a problem then maybe you need to move on to someone that is happy with your jean protruding package.

I'm sure women do, I know I sure do! She probably thinks you're doing it on purpose or something! She could also just be insanely jealous.
P.S. I'd be grateful to know the brand and cut of the pants in question!
